Barmy June

June - another hectic month.
Our friend John Winchcombe came to the Speakability session in Newbury on May 23rd and showed us some magic. John is a good friend and very keen magician. He showed us how to do a trick and I still can’t make it work (Must be magic!).
We went down to Clacton-on-Sea for the Bank holiday weekend and stayed with Norman’s sister, Janis and her husband Ron. They are expecting another grandchild very soon and Justin and Karen are very proud of Karen’s lump. Happily things are coming along smoothly in that area. Norman’s mum, who is 88 now, is in fine fettle although following a couple of falls last year, has lost a lot of her confidence when it comes to walking. However, with her Sholley (http://www.sholley.com) she manages to do her shopping at the local Somerfields (no web site here) which is a good 800 metres round trip and even goes to see her 99 year-old friend, Mrs Gaylor every Thursday.
June

Sarah came home on the 1st of June, - she flew in to Gatwick and Norman brought her home. She stayed for a couple of day before flying back to Singapore.

We flew to Spain on the 7th and stayed in Jan & Ron’s apartment in Moraira for a week. A nice relaxing break. The weather was kind and we did a bit of tourism around the region. Still must be one of the best value for money places in Europe when you get away from the tourist spots.

On the 20th, we went to the Watermill Theatre in Newbury to see David Soul in Mack & Mabel. A superb show and very well directed and produced..
